This is a bold move on the part of Firefly Studios. Those who are interested in playing on either platform can pre-register here. The Final Age is scheduled to release "in the near future." In the meantime, the development team is working on a new in-game event system, as was requested by the community, and new world types.Īdditionally, Stronghold Kingdoms is launching on Android and iOS in the near future. We also have updates planned for the game, including our upcoming events system and redesigned iOS and Android versions. This doesn’t mean Stronghold Kingdoms is coming to an end, far from it! For those worlds that players do decide to close new ones will open. This option will be given exclusively to a single player per world, "the Marshall of a winning House."įirefly Studios Lead Designer Simon Bradbury explains the reasoning behind adding such a feature as follows.įrom the very beginning we knew players would be involved in development, this is the ultimate expression of that. Players deserve a proper endgame and in the case of Kingdoms we believe this means letting the community decide whether or not to close their game worlds. So, why on earth would i give any other game from this company a chance after this experience right here? I mean, the game could be fun with several adjustments, but i doubt that's going to happen anytime soon.Firefly Studios announced today that, in an upcoming update called The Final Age, Stronghold Kingdoms players will soon be able to end the game worlds in which their kingdoms reside. players that have been gone for a while without the vacation mode activated, to free up a village spot for another player or something like that, but against players that are still struggling with setting up their village and castle? That makes no sense to me. I could understand those kind of attacks vs. and that was before i ranked up once or twice, so what will the next attack against my new castle with 20 archers defending be? 150 or 200 units including a handfull catapults for kicks? I just checked the latest attack report from a siege camp, 14 archers and 90 peasants attacking vs. add to that, even when you've the "new player in the area protection" ticking away, the AI can still attack you and destroy your castle/village.īut it gets even better, it looks like there's no "downtime" between AI attacks from a castle or a siege camp, have fun getting attacked non stop, and no balance to those attack either. This game and how they run it should be reason enough for everyone to overthink their opinion towards them. in addition to that there are rogues who drive all the troubles from getting attacked out of nowhere to the extreme.Īvoid this game at all costs, propably it's best to boycott FF completely. They use bots to automatically defend and other programs to not get hit easily, they buy absurd amount of card points (ingame pay2win currency) for super cheap price from hackers, bypassing the normal payment system and breaking the game completely. But over time things became worse and worse, with multiple players actually sharing same accounts (not just one player controlling several accs), making them super hard to beat as they are allways online somehow. People controlling multiple accounts is nearly a normal thing, something that existed since long time. No offense, but i see no point in playing cannonfodder for other players here.Īdd on that the absurd amount of cheaters who are completely ignored by the devs meanwhile. I gave the game a fair chance, even spend some money on it, but it's just not worth it in the end. there will allways be that one player that has dumped hundreds or thousands of cards into the game and is going to send out a whole army to destroy within a few seconds what little you've gotten build up over several days of playing.Īnd there's nothing you can do against it.
